NEW LOOK SPURS
Transfer activity from Tottenham Hotspur and how they could shape up going into the new season.
Tottenham Hotspur has had a bittersweet 2025. Their league form and final position were abysmal, but they had a dream night in Bilbao, when they broke their duck and won a major honor in 17 years.

The whole footballing world was waiting to see what the Lilywhites had to offer in the third season under Ange Postecoglou, but unfortunately the club decided to part ways with him. The man to replace Big Ange is none other than Thomas Frank. He is an interesting manager who's done well for himself with Brentford through the years. It’s potentially going to be an exciting time for Spurs.
Their additions to the squad this season show a clear intent from the club to challenge for more titles. First, they’ve gone ahead and made Mathys Tel’s signature permanent. Tel is an exciting and versatile player who can play on the left and down the middle as a striker. Still young, he has a lot to offer and could be a key player for Tottenham this year. Spurs have also bolstered the center-half position by acquiring Japanese center back Kota Takai and signing Kevin Danso permanently. It remains to be seen whether Christian Romero will leave the club, with it being rumored that he is Atleti-bound.

The most exciting additions, in my opinion, are Mohammed Kudus and Morgan Gibbs-White. These two players could elevate Tottenham into title contention. Mo Kudus will light up the attack with his technicality, pace, and power. Morgan Gibbs-White is the one I am most excited to see. Coming off back-to-back stellar seasons with Nottingham Forest, he could be the figure Spurs have missed in that midfield for quite some time now. His ability to link up play is exceptional, and he also has a knack for scoring as well.

The depth of their squad as they enter the new season is also something admirable. Last season, Spurs saw their season derailed by injuries. They’ll be praying their fortunes change going into the 25/26 season.
Having this potential XI and a bench consisting of Bentancur, Richarlison, Tel, Brennan Johnson, Djed Spence, Archie Gray, Bergvall, Danso and Takai can only be good.
Will winning the Europa League spur the Lilywhites to want more or will they go back to being spursy…lets find out.

Having fortified their side, we can only wish them all the best in this coming season and going forward.
